Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Nourish by Shruti ("we", "us", "I") collects when you visit this website, book a call or work with me, why it's needed and what you can ask me to do with it. It's written to follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.

1. Who Is Responsible for Your Data

Nourish by Shruti is a diet and nutrition practice run by Shruti Shingvi from Pune, offering consultations in person and online. I decide how your information is used and I'm responsible for keeping it safe.

2. What I Collect

• Booking details: your name, email, phone number and any answers you give when you book a discovery call through Calendly or fill in the Google Form I send when you sign up for a plan.
• Health information you share with me: medical history, diagnoses, medication, lab and gene-test reports, body measurements and body composition results, menstrual and pregnancy details, food habits, meal photos and lifestyle notes.
• Messages: what you send me on WhatsApp, email or phone.
• Payment records: the amount, date and reference of what you've paid. I don't store card or bank details; those are handled by your bank or payment app.

This website doesn't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies of its own and doesn't ask you to create an account.

3. Why I Use It

• To schedule and hold your discovery call, consultations and follow-ups.
• To build, review and adjust your nutrition plan.
• To answer your questions and send reminders about your sessions.
• To keep accounts and meet legal and tax obligations.

I use your health information to look after you. I never sell it or rent it out. I'll only use details from your journey, like results or meal photos, in my posts or ads if you've given me written permission, and you can withdraw that permission anytime.

4. Your Consent

By booking a call or sharing health information with me, you agree to me using it as described here. You can withdraw that consent at any time by writing to me. Withdrawing it won't affect anything done before, but I may not be able to keep advising you without the information I need.

5. Who Else Sees It

Only the services this practice runs on, and only for the purposes above:

• Calendly for bookings and reminders.
• WhatsApp (Meta) for messages and check-ins.
• Google for email, the sign-up form (Google Forms) and the map on this website.

I'll share your information with your doctor or another health professional only if you ask me to, or if the law requires it (for example, an order from a court or government authority).

6. Cookies and Embedded Content

Some parts of this site load content from other services: the booking calendar (Calendly), the clinic map (Google Maps), fonts (Google Fonts and Fontshare), photos (Unsplash) and Instagram posts. When those load, the provider may receive your IP address and set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. You can block third-party cookies in your browser settings; the booking calendar may then need to open in a new tab.

7. How Long I Keep It

I keep your records while you're a client and for up to three years after your last session, so that I can pick up where we left off if you come back, unless the law requires me to keep them longer. After that they're deleted. You can ask me to delete them sooner (see below).

8. Keeping It Safe

Your records are kept in password-protected accounts and devices that only I can access. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects your data I'll tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

9. Your Rights

• Ask what information I hold about you and how it's been used.
• Ask me to correct, complete or update it.
• Ask me to delete it, once it's no longer needed for your care or a legal reason.
• Withdraw your consent.
• Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you're unable to.
• Raise a complaint with me and, if you're not satisfied, with the Data Protection Board of India.

10. Children

If you're under 18, a parent or guardian needs to book for you and give consent, and should join the consultations.

11. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date. If the change is significant, I'll let current clients know directly.
